Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention

What: Tai Chi has been shown to help prevent falls and improve health and quality of life. Tai Chi can help reduce pain and stiffness through a series of gentle, pain-free movements. It will help improve balance, strength, flexibility and stamina. Most importantly, Tai Chi can help improve quality of life both physically and mentally. This class can also be done while sitting in a chair. The instructor is a certified Tai Chi for Health instructor.

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, January 15-March 7 (no class Feb. 7 & 21), 6:00-7:00pm (Beginner), 7:00-8:00pm (Advanced)

Try it out night: Girl Scout Investigator

Date: Tuesday, January 2

Time: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Cost: FREE for girls in Grades K-6

Where: Waukee Community Center

Come try your detective skills and become a Girl Scout Investigator (GSI)! You’ll examine fingerprints, find a hidden message under the black light, crack a secret code, and be on your way to earning your very own Detective Badge!

The Waukee Track Club is open for kids at any skill level who will be in Grades 3-12 in

2018-19 school year  who are looking for the opportunity to learn more about track and

field events with the option of participating in developmental meets.
