WHS Baseball ‘Meet the Team Night’

Come meet the Waukee Baseball teams at ‘Meet the Team Night’. Concessions will be open so come out for dinner and a fun night of baseball! There will also be a raffle event with prizes (gift certificates, gift baskets, Cub tickets, Royals tickets, etc).

When: Thursday, May 17th

Sophomore Scrimmage: 5:00 pm

Player Introductions: 6:15 pm

JV/Varsity Scrimmage: 6:45 pm

Where: Waukee Baseball Fields located south of Waukee Middle School

Cost: $1.00 or one sports drink (Gatorade or Powerade)

Healthy Kids Day

What: Waukee APEX is partnering with UnityPoint Health and the YMCA to orchestrate a day where WHS student athletes and volunteers will show kids how to live a healthy, active lifestyle through activities such as track, football, soccer, baseball, Tae-kwon-do, tennis, volleyball, cheer, dance, hula hoop, jump rope, etc. 

When: Saturday, May 5 from 1-3 p.m.

City of Waukee Bike with Cops

What: New annual bike ride event for kids in the Waukee Community School District. Children in grades 2-6 can enjoy a safety talk, two-mile bike ride and lunch with Waukee police officers. No training wheels and helmets are required. 

When:  Saturday, May 26 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Cost:  $15 per child (t-shirts for will be given to participants)

Daddy Daughter Dance

What: A dance for daughters and their grandfathers, fathers, uncles, or father figures orchestrated by Waukee After Prom Committee. Wrist corsage, craft, snack & drink, glow necklace, dancing and a professional DJ are included with registration. 

When: Saturday, February 17th from 6:00-7:30pm

Costs: $30 per couple, $10 for each additional daughter

Professional photographs and extra snacks are available for purchase at the event.

Waukee Fashion Club Model For A Day

What: A fashion show for students grades K-5. Students will get their hair and makeup done, participate in a photo shoot and put on a show for their families. 

When: January 27th from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm

Where: WILC Building 

Cost: $25 admissions fee

Proceeds will benefit the Waukee Fashion Club and the Make A Wish Foundation.

What: Learn about the history of Oktoberfest and enjoy a German meal, desserts and activities

When: Oct. 5, 2017, 6-8 pm.
